Gary Sanson is the Founding Partner and CEO of Financial Voyages. With more than 32 years of experience in the financial planning industry, Gary has built a respected, relationship driven practice focused on retirement and estate planning designed to support multi-generational and philanthropic wealth for individuals and families. He is deeply committed to helping clients make informed, confident decisions and works closely with each client and their other trusted advisors to develop and continually refine strategies as life and circumstances evolve.

Gary most recently earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) designation, an advanced credential designed for advisors who work with high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families facing complex financial challenges. The CPWA program emphasizes advanced tax planning, estate and trust strategies, business succession and liquidity planning, concentrated equity management, charitable planning, and coordinating sophisticated financial matters. This designation further strengthens Gary’s ability to provide thoughtful, highly personalized guidance to clients with complex needs.

Gary is an accomplished professional who holds numerous respected and advanced designations and licenses, including Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), and Chartered Advisor in Senior Living® (CASL®). He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 26, 63, and 65 licenses, along with life, disability, and long-term care insurance licenses. Gary graduated with honors from Temple University with a degree in Finance.

Over the past decade, Gary has been consistently recognized by Philadelphia Magazine as a Philadelphia Five Star Wealth Manager from 2014 through 2025, reflecting his ongoing dedication to his clients and the profession.

Gary is also deeply committed to his community. He is a member of the Institute of Business and Finance, and the National Association of Estate Planners. He has taught hundreds of courses through local colleges, universities, and high schools, and regularly volunteers with organizations including food pantries, the VA hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and local churches. His service has included roles as Chairman of the Finance Committee for a local church and board member for the American Red Cross and other privately held organizations.

Gary’s passion and enthusiasm for helping individuals and families achieve long-term financial security, combined with his thoughtful and personal approach, continues to reflect his commitment to serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for his clients and their families.

Outside of the office!

Outside of the office, Gary Sanson’s heart belongs to exploration and connection. With a sense of wonder that has led him to over 80 countries and every corner of all fifty states, he’s truly a globetrotter at heart. Embracing each journey as an opportunity to discover new cultures and create lifelong memories with family and friends alike.

Beyond his love for travel, Gary finds joy in supporting his favorite Michigan team, donning the colors of maize and blue with pride. But it’s the simple pleasures that truly capture his spirit—hiking amidst nature’s beauty, gliding across tranquil waters in a kayak, or engaging in spirited games of pickleball, where his passion and skill shine.

Embodying an adventurous soul, Gary cherishes the thrill of venturing into the unknown, always eager to embrace life’s adventures. His genuine warmth and approachable nature make it easy for him to connect with people from all walks of life, forming meaningful relationships that last.
